Summary

Eberspaecher Vecture has introduced GuardIon-IQ, a modular battery management system platform covering 12 to 1,500 V and configurable for integrated or distributed architectures. The six-variant lineup adds redundant safety protection, current sensing, SOC/SOH algorithms and CAN/Wi-Fi connectivity for e-mobility, off-highway, marine and energy storage applications.

Eberspaecher Vecture, part of the Eberspaecher Group, has launched GuardIon-IQ, a modular BMS platform that supports battery systems from 12 to 1,500 V and can be configured for integrated or distributed architectures.

GuardIon-IQ includes redundant safety protection, MOSFET and contactor control, current sensing and SOC/SOH algorithms, and offers CAN and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The 80 mm × 55 mm × 12 mm form factor is designed to simplify integration into space-constrained applications and help reduce overall system weight to improve performance, efficiency and range.

GuardIon-IQ comes in six variants, starting with IQ Prime, an integrated BMS with onboard MOSFETs for small-to-medium battery packs. IQ Pro supports medium-to-large packs through external contactors. IQ Power is designed for higher-current applications and offers MOSFET support and diagnostics, using Protection and Sensing Modules available in 100, 200 and 300 A versions. These variants are applicable to e-mobility, uncrewed systems, off-highway equipment, energy storage, marine and industrial power applications.

IQ Command is the central controller in distributed high-voltage systems and manages series strings. IQ Sentinel provides cell-level measurement, balancing and protection. IQ Apex monitors up to three high-voltage nodes at voltages up to 1,500 V and includes ground-fault monitoring. These variants are suited to high-voltage mobility, industrial and data center applications, and to larger mobile or grid-scale energy storage.

"GuardIon-IQ represents a major step forward in how customers can design and deploy battery management solutions," said Angelo Catenaro, President of Eberspaecher Vecture. "The scalable, modular architecture enables a common BMS platform to be used across multiple systems, reducing development costs, simplifying integration and accelerating time to market for customers."
