EVDANCE EV Charging Extension Cable Now Available in NACS and J1772 Versions

The company’s EV Charging Extension Cable is designed to solve a simple problem: sometimes, an EV owner finds that a charging cable is too short to cover the distance between the charger and where they need to park their car. The company says it has sold more than 10,000 of its EV Charging Extension Cables in the last year, indicating that the problem is a common one.

“Rather than replacing an existing charger, the Charging Extension Cable provides additional reach so drivers can keep the charging setup they already have while gaining more flexibility in where they park,” the company explains.

There are many reasons why an EV owner may need an extra-long cable reach. There may be a second vehicle in the garage. An electric truck may be too large to park close enough to the wall-mounted charger. A driveway or outdoor parking space may simply sit beyond the reach of the original charging cable.

The EVDANCE EV Charging Extension Cable Series is purpose-built for compatible EV charging applications. The cable comes in multiple amperage and length options, including 21-foot and 40-foot cables, and is now available in both NACS and J1772 configurations. The cable supports up to 50 A, 240 V and 12 kW for Level 2 charging, and features 8 AWG copper conductors, a heavy-duty TPE jacket and IP66 water and dust protection.

When the upgraded EVDANCE NACS extension cable is connected to a compatible Tesla charger, the original charger’s charge-port opening button functionality remains available.
