Green Water & Power Installs 10,000th EV Charger in Just Three Years

The developers and electricians at Green Water & Power are celebrating a significant EV charging milestone this month with the deployment and energization of its 10,000th electric vehicle charging port – in just three years. (!)

Green Water & Power (GWP) and their hardware partners, Autel, started rolling out L2 chargers together nationwide in 2023. Earlier this month, the companies powered up their 10,000th charger. That’s a headline number – but the real story is just how quickly they got there: 10,000 chargers.

For those of you doing the math, that’s nearly 10 chargers going online each day, every day, including Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years’, for three (3) solid years. And, for what it’s worth, they don’t seem to be slowing down.

Getting charging to work, and home

Green Water & Power is currently contracted to install over 3,000 additional Level 2 chargers and more than 100 DC fast chargers (shown, above) in the coming months, with other projects in various stages of development.

To their credit, however, GWP is quick to point out that speed of deployment doesn’t mean much if the network isn’t reliable.  “Property owners and drivers don’t care about how many chargers we’ve installed,” explains Danny Gold, President of Green Water & Power. “They care that the one in front of them works every time they need it. That reliability is what’s made Autel Energy a great partner for us since day one, and it’s what let us scale into every vertical our customers operate in, from hotels and apartments to schools and hospitals. We’re just getting started.”

The company claims its network has delivered a combined 16.6 million kWh to date, maintaining an average uptime of 99.72% and displacing more than 22,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
