Summary
Ferrari's first electric model, the Luce SUV, has been approved for sale in Australia priced from $991,446, making it the country's most expensive EV. The 772 kW quad-motor SUV features a 122 kWh battery with up to 530 km WLTP range and styling by a team led by former Apple design chief Jony Ive.
Ferrari, the Italian sports car maker, has had its first EV approved for sale in Australia, priced from $991,446, officially making it the most expensive EV on the local market.
The Ferrari Luce grabbed headlines (most of them not favourable) earlier this year for having a very un-Ferrari-like styling, and it has now been spotted on the ROVER approval-for-sale register. This was first spotted by Roland L from the Zapped Au YouTube channel on X.
The over 5-metre-long SUV will be available with a height of 1.54 metres and the quite low running clearance of 110 mm.
Battery details for the Luce show that it comes equipped with a 122 kWh pack, based on the 800 V architecture, with DC charging and a peak charging rate of up to 350 kW. This will deliver a total range of up to 530 km on the WLTP cycle.
On the power front, Ferrari Luce’s quad-motor powertrain produces 772 kW of power and 990 Nm of torque, helping it sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, identical to the recently launched Porsche Cayenne Turbo electric SUV.

In the Luce though, the 0-200 km/h comes in just 6.8 seconds with a top-speed limited to 310 km/h.
This unique model was designed by a design studio which was led by former Apple chief design officer Sir Jony Ive and industrial designer Marc Newson, as well as Centro Stile Ferrari.
If quad-motor power, exclusivity, and speed matter for some Australian luxury car buyers, this model could be one of the most unique EVs to keep an eye out for.
