Hyundai opened orders for the all-new IONIQ 6 in the UK, starting at £33,240 ($45,000), including the Electric Car Grant (ECG).

The “evolved” electrified streamliner brings a sharp new design, a refined interior, and a bigger battery for longer range.

Hyundai “enhanced every line and detail” for a cleaner, stronger silhouette. The front includes a redesigned shark nose and slim daytime running lights, while the black lower body garnish now extends into the doors.

The rear features a new extended ducktail design replacing the previous generation’s prominent spoiler.

Inside, Hyundai overhauled the new IONIQ 6’s interior with a redesigned two-tone leather steering wheel, a digital side mirror, and a “bridge-type” center console that includes a wireless phone charger and physical buttons.

It includes Hyundai’s new infotainment setup, including dual 12.3″ navigation and infotainment screens with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities.

In the UK, the new IONIQ 6 is available in three trims: Premium, N-Line, and N-Line Evo, with 225 horsepower RWD or 320 horsepower AWD powertrains.

The base Hyundai IONIQ 6 Premium uses a new 84 kWh battery with the 225 hp RWD powertrain, delivering up to 422 miles of range and 4.6 miles/kWh efficiency.

It starts at £33,240 with the ECG. It includes 18″ alloy wheels, flush auto door handles, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, heat pump, smart regenerative braking, wireless phone charging, over-the-air updates, and the full suite of key safety systems.

The IONIQ 6 N-Line starts at £36,240, including the ECG, and adds a more dynamic N-Line exterior and interior design.

Upgrading to the range-topping N-Line Evo costs £43,270 and adds features like leather and suede seat trim, a suede headliner, front relaxation seats, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, and a head-up display.

Both the IONIQ 6 N-Line and N-Line Evo use the 84 kWh battery, providing up to 364 miles of driving range in RWD and up to 354 miles with the AWD powertrain.

Thanks to its 800-volt electrical architecture, the IONIQ 6’s battery can charge from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes at DC fast-charging speeds of up to 350 kW.

The new IONIQ 6 is now available to order on Hyundai UK’s website, with deliveries set to begin in early 2027.

Sadly, those in the US will miss out on the new-and-improved electrified streamliner. Hyundai is discontinuing the standard IONIQ 6 in the US after the 2026 model year, while the performance N will remain on sale.
