Irizar unveils 15-meter electric i3 coach with 500 km range at FIAA Madrid

The Irizar Group presented a new 15-metre version of its electric Class II Irizar i3 Normal Floor at the recent FIAA International Bus and Coach Trade Fair in Madrid.

The new 15-metre version of the Irizar i3 model has a range of boasts a range of 500 km. It’s designed to maximize passenger capacity and luggage space while delivering the same performance as the rest of the Irizar vehicle line.

The new platform is available in a lightened version reinforced with high-performance steel profiles. It features cameras and radar, to enhance driver and passenger safety, and complies with the R155 and R156 European regulations for cybersecurity management systems and vehicle software updates. It also features an R29 frontal crash energy-absorption structure.

Irizar prides itself on its environmental management. The company currently valorizes 63.50% of its surplus and waste materials, facilitating their reintegration into new production cycles. Irizar says its vehicles achieve an average recoverability and recyclability rate of 97.44% and 92.95%, respectively. Vehicle development incorporates a structured Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in compliance with international standards ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.
