Microchip uses AKM current sensors in ML-based arc fault detection reference design
Microchip Technology has adopted Asahi Kasei Microdevices' CZ39 and CZ3K coreless current sensors in a reference design that runs on-device machine learning to detect arc faults. The 100 ns response sensors target EV chargers, energy storage and solar PV, where false triggers and missed faults are persistent safety challenges.
