Waymo researchers unveil framework for AV incident-management exercises

Waymo researchers and incident-readiness experts published a new framework to help autonomous vehicle developers plan, test and strengthen emergency response capabilities. The approach adapts FEMA's exercise and evaluation practices to AV operations, giving developers, first responders and public-safety agencies a shared method for preparing for major incidents.
