UK Study: One in 85 Used EVs Shows Significant Cell-Voltage Imbalance

Generational analyzed ~10,000 used-EV battery tests in the UK, finding a median cell-voltage spread of just 8 mV but flagging about 1 in 85 vehicles with imbalances above 50 mV. Such imbalances can quietly limit range and charging despite healthy state-of-health readings, underscoring limits of capacity-based diagnostics.
