Porsche leaves VW emissions pool, forms CO₂ alliance with Xpeng

Porsche has exited Volkswagen Group's emissions pool and will form a new open CO₂ pooling arrangement with Chinese EV maker Xpeng for 2026-2027. The move gives Porsche flexibility as its European BEV sales drop nearly 30% year-on-year, while Xpeng may gain extra revenue as it expands in the region.
