Volkswagen ID. Cross enters production as affordable electric SUV, starting around $32,000

Volkswagen has started series production of the ID. Cross at its Pamplona, Spain plant, bringing a more affordable electric SUV to its lineup. The entry-level model, which opens orders next month at roughly $32,000, is expected to play a key role as VW competes with Tesla and Chinese automakers.
