Toray Tests Heat-Resistant Film Capacitor in 150°C Inverter for EVs and Flying Cars

Toray has validated a prototype film capacitor made with a proprietary heat-resistant dielectric film in an inverter operating at 150°C. The technology could enable smaller, air-cooled power control units for electric vehicles and flying cars by halving heat-dissipation structures.
