Ford Escape to Return as Electric Crossover on New UEV Platform, Report Says

Ford discontinued the gas-powered Escape last year after a 25-year run, but the nameplate is expected to return as an all-electric compact crossover built on the company's new Universal Electric Vehicle platform. The Escape EV could enter production at Ford's Louisville Assembly Plant in 2029, following the Fathom electric pickup that launches in late 2027.
