BMW iX5 hits 464 kW in first public fast-charging demo, adding 170 miles in 10 minutes

BMW's new iX5 60 xDrive demonstrated peak DC fast charging of 464 kW during a public event in Southern California, slightly exceeding the 460 kW BMW advertised. The Gen6 eDrive model, launching in the US in Q1 2027 from $79,800, can charge from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes.
