LANXESS opens battery lab in Germany to test iron oxide and iron phosphate for LFP cells

LANXESS has opened a battery laboratory at its Krefeld-Uerdingen site in Germany to test and develop iron oxide and iron phosphate precursors used in LFP cathode material. The lab lets the specialty chemicals company and its customers assess how different material grades affect cell performance, processability and suitability, with the equipment also suited to sodium-ion cells.
