Skyworks Samples Si829x Gate Driver for EV Traction Inverters
Skyworks has moved its Si829x isolated safety gate driver into pre-production sampling, targeting EV traction inverter designs. The AEC-Q100 qualified device uses ProVCD variable current drive and claims up to 44% lower switching losses than voltage-mode gate drive.
