China's New Standard Eases Limits for Smart-Vehicle Sensors, Boosts EV Design
China has approved a mandatory national standard that exempts radar, cameras, and V2X antennas from strict vehicle dimension rules, giving automakers more design freedom for autonomous-driving hardware. The standard also eases axle-load limits for commercial EVs and takes effect in July 2027.
