Summary

Deutronic has launched the DVCH3003-700-24, a high-voltage DC/DC converter delivering an adjustable 2-30 V at 112 A from a 400-900 V input for off-highway electric vehicles. It anchors a three-converter lineup for North American off-highway builders, alongside the 450 W DVC453 and DVC1903 for 24-80 V systems.

The DVCH3003-700-24 delivers an adjustable 2-30 V at 112 A from an input of 400-900 V. It is the high-voltage end of a three-converter lineup Deutronic USA is offering to North American off-highway vehicle builders, alongside the 450 W DVC453 and the DVC1903, which run from inputs between 24 V and 80 V. All three are galvanically isolated switching regulators.

Deutronic says North American customers get faster delivery, greater spare parts availability and improved customer service support.

The DVC1903 delivers 24.3 V at 70 A from a 48-80 V input, or up to 160 A in bursts of four seconds or less. Its product page puts the power range at up to 1,680 W, typical efficiency at 95% and the housing at IP54. A 24-48 V version intended for fuel cell systems delivers an adjustable 2-30 V at 80 A behind an IP65 housing, and the CAN variants run CAN 2.0A or J1939. Deutronic lists intralogistics, construction machinery and compact industrial vehicles as applications.

The DVC453 is rated at 450 W and 92% typical efficiency. It accepts either a 24-36 V or a 48-80 V input and delivers 24.3 V at 18.5 A behind an IP65 housing.

At the high-voltage end, the DVCH3003-700-24 runs at 94% typical efficiency, and its product page rates the housing to IP65, IP67 and IP6K9K.

All three converters carry short-circuit, no-load and over-temperature protection and can be connected in parallel, and the DVCH3003 adds an HV interlock.

A wide-range input is what lets one converter serve several battery architectures, and galvanic isolation between input and output keeps a fault on the high-voltage side from reaching the 24 V auxiliary network. On an off-highway machine that auxiliary network runs lighting, controls and instrumentation, loads that persist whenever the machine is powered. Isolation, output regulation and transient response are among the parameters covered in automotive DC-DC converter testing.

Deutronic’s DC/DC converter portfolio supports a wide range of vehicle voltage architecture, from lower-voltage systems using the DVC453 and DVC1903 to high-voltage applications using the DVCHx3 family, which supports input voltages up to 900 VDC,” said Julia Lumm, Deutronic USA’s Key Account Manager.
