Momenta to Supply Advanced Driver Assistance for Peugeot, Jeep Models From 2027

• New models under the partnership are scheduled to hit the market from 2027, with powertrain options including battery electric and plug-in hybrid.

Momenta (HKEX: 6880) has entered into a global strategic partnership with Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co Ltd (DSAT) to develop advanced driver assistance systems based on its R7 world model for new Peugeot and Jeep production vehicles.

The Chinese driving technology supplier disclosed the partnership on Monday, saying the agreement was signed in Shanghai on September 24. The models will be sold in China, Europe and other global markets.

The partnership will expand Momenta's presence among international automotive brands, providing another route into overseas markets through automakers' global sales networks.

DSAT was jointly established by Dongfeng Motor, Stellantis and other partners.

Under the agreement, Momenta will participate in product definition and joint development of new Peugeot and Jeep models, tailoring the driver assistance systems to each brand's characteristics and driving experience.

The companies will combine their vehicle engineering and chassis tuning capabilities to refine steering, braking and powertrain response, adapting the systems to Jeep's off-road capabilities and Peugeot's handling characteristics.

Several all-new DSAT new energy vehicle (NEV) models will feature Momenta's world model and are scheduled to roll out from 2027, with powertrain options including battery electric and plug-in hybrid, according to a statement from the automaker.

Beyond advanced driver assistance systems for production vehicles, the partnership will cover the development and deployment of autonomous driving technologies, including Level 3.

DSAT general manager Lv Haitao said the partnership would combine Peugeot's driving dynamics and Jeep's off-road capabilities with intelligent technology for deployment in China and overseas.

Momenta CEO Cao Xudong said the agreement expanded the company's partner network and reflected Chinese AI's growing role in the development of intelligent vehicles worldwide.

Cao said the company was preparing for an anticipated inflection point in the global advanced driver assistance market in 2028 and aimed to position itself ahead of that shift.

Momenta's overseas expansion comes alongside growth in its production vehicle business. Its solutions were installed in about 321,000 additional vehicles in the first half of this year, up 83.7% from a year earlier, according to its interim report released on August 31.

By the end of June, cumulative installations had exceeded 1 million, spanning 105 production models, while its production vehicle solutions covered 26 automakers.

The company said at the time that vehicles equipped with its solutions had been exported to 10 countries and regions. It was also developing its world model as a shared technology foundation for its production vehicle, robovan and robotaxi businesses.
