China NEV sales hit 2026 high in September as exports offset domestic decline

China's NEV sales rose 13.6% year-on-year to a 2026-high 1.823 million units in September, with BEV sales reaching a record 1.277 million, according to CAAM data. Exports surged 160% year-on-year while domestic sales fell 9.4%, keeping NEV penetration above 60% for a third straight month.
