CBAK Energy signs 12 GWh sodium-ion battery cell project deal in Nanjing

CBAK Energy has signed an investment agreement with Nanjing Gaochun Economic Development Zone for 12 GWh of annual large cylindrical sodium-ion cell and battery system capacity. The project, planned to advance in phases from late 2027 subject to financing, would also allow lines to switch to lithium-ion cells based on market demand.
