China EV battery market: CATL leads with 40.92% share in September as BYD closes gap
CATL held 40.92% of China's EV battery market in September 2026, well ahead of BYD's 21.09%, according to CABIA data. However, the gap between the two narrowed for a fourth straight month as CATL lost share and BYD gained slightly.
