Redwood Materials and Rivian Expand EV Battery Recycling Partnership to Illinois Factory
Redwood Materials and Rivian are expanding their battery partnership to collect, sort, and recycle production scrap at Rivian's Normal, Illinois plant and potentially other sites. The deal also repurposes retired Rivian battery packs for stationary energy storage before recovering about 99% of critical materials like nickel, cobalt, copper, and lithium.
