Musk: Orbital Data Centers Will Make Earth's Compute Look Like 'Peanuts' by 2028

Elon Musk says SpaceX's capital expenditure efficiency is underestimated as the company targets over 13 gigawatts of compute by late 2027, backed by a new $40 billion debt raise to buy GPUs. He claims orbital compute deployed via SpaceX's Starmind satellite clusters could surpass terrestrial capacity by the end of 2028 and far exceed it in 2029.
