Amprius Wins $75M US Defense Grant to Convert EV Battery Line to Drone Cells
Amprius Technologies received up to $75 million from the U.S. Department of War to retrofit a domestic EV battery production line into a high-energy-density cell facility for unmanned aerial systems. The converted line, operated by a major South Korean battery partner and slated for completion in early 2028, is expected to produce 12 million NDAA-compliant cells annually.
