Leap Expands California Program to Pay Batteries for Exporting Power to the Grid
Leap has expanded its Emergency Load Reduction Program offering in California to compensate battery storage systems for exporting energy back to the grid, a practice previously ineligible for widespread compensation. The new ELRP A.4 option, available in PG&E's service area, also lets providers enroll entire battery portfolios directly instead of relying on low-rate customer opt-in.
