Princeton NuEnergy wins $50M DOE grant for cathode recycling plant in Georgia

The U.S. Department of Energy awarded Princeton NuEnergy $50 million to build a commercial cathode-to-cathode recycling facility in Georgia, part of a $110 million project. The plant will process 3,000 tonnes of nickel-based lithium-ion battery scrap annually, producing rejuvenated cathode material at roughly 45% lower cost than virgin material.
