Altilium Secures First UK Patent for EcoCathode Battery Recycling Process

Altilium has been granted its first UK patent for the EcoCathode hydrometallurgical process, which recovers and regenerates battery-grade cathode materials from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries. The method, validated by Imperial College London, aims to cut energy use, emissions, and reliance on imported critical minerals as the company scales from pilot to commercial production.
