Nuvoton unveils 26-cell battery monitoring IC with built-in EIS for EV and energy storage

Nuvoton Technology Corporation Japan will sample the KA85010UA, a Gen 6 26-cell battery monitoring IC with integrated EIS, starting January 2027. Its proprietary inductor method cuts EIS power loss and PCB temperature rise by about 93%, enabling continuous battery diagnostics, lifetime prediction and early fault detection in vehicles and energy storage.
