Heart Aerospace completes maiden flight of largest battery-electric aircraft X1

Heart Aerospace has flown its X1 demonstrator, touted as the largest battery-electric aircraft ever to take to the skies, during a 27-minute test at Plattsburgh International Airport. The milestone validates the company’s electric powertrain and moves it closer to its hybrid-electric ES-30 regional airliner, planned for market entry in 2031.
