SK On ESS passes UL 9540A large-scale fire test with no thermal runaway in adjacent container

SK On announced its energy storage system met UL 9540A evaluation criteria in a large-scale fire test, with no thermal runaway observed in cells of the adjacent container. The battery maker says the results support its global ESS expansion, including LFP supply deals in the U.S. and dedicated ESS lines in South Korea.
