CATL tops global ESS battery market in H1 2026 as non-China regions gain share
Global energy storage system (ESS) battery shipments surged 71% year-on-year to 461.3 GWh in H1 2026, with CATL leading at 27.1% market share. Non-China markets overtook China as the dominant demand region, with China's share dropping to 43.9% from 50.5%.
