Siemens Energy Taps EST-Floattech for 1 MWh+ Battery System on Marco Polo Marine's CSOV Plus
Siemens Energy has selected EST-Floattech to supply a 1 MWh-plus Octopus High Energy battery system for Marco Polo Marine's new CSOV Plus, which will support hybrid and dynamic positioning operations in offshore wind and oil and gas. The vessel's design allows future battery capacity expansion to 20 MWh for fully electric sailing, with delivery set for 2028 under a Siemens Gamesa charter in Taiwanese waters.
