Volkswagen recalls thousands of EVs over battery fire risk, tells owners to cap charging at 80%

Volkswagen is recalling several thousand electric vehicles, including the ID.3, ID.4, ID.7 and ID. Buzz, after an internal quality check found high-voltage battery cells that may not meet requirements. Owners are being urged to limit charging to 80% until a fix is available, as overcharging could trigger thermal propagation or battery fire.
