Volvo drops EX40 from US lineup after 2027, plans sub-$50,000 EX50 replacement

Volvo is discontinuing the EX40 in the US and Canada after the 2027 model year, leaving the roughly $60,000 EX60 as its most affordable American EV. A new entry-level EX50 crossover, built on the SPA3 platform and priced under $50,000, is expected by late 2027.
