Global EV Sales Hit 27% Share in August as BEVs Surge and PHEVs Slump
Global plugin vehicle registrations rose 5% year over year in August to about 1.8 million units, with BEVs up 13% while PHEVs fell 12%. BEVs made up 73% of plugin sales, helping electrified vehicles reach 39% of the global market when hybrids are included.
