Maxell has created an all-solid-state battery module that matches the 1/2AA ER battery size and adds wireless charging, targeting industrial backup, smart meters, and IoT devices. The rechargeable design aims to cut battery replacement frequency, reduce waste, and support high-temperature, sealed applications such as food-process temperature loggers.
