Hyundai recalls nearly 30,000 Kona Electric vehicles over airbag software defect
Hyundai is recalling 29,058 Kona Electric models from 2019-2023, plus Veloster N vehicles, because an airbag control unit software error can deactivate the airbag system. Dealers will update the software free of charge, with owner notification letters expected January 1, 2027.
