Pentagon Awards Amprius $75M to Convert EV Battery Line for Military Drone Cells
The US Department of War has granted Amprius Technologies $75 million to convert a civilian electric vehicle battery production line into high-energy-density battery manufacturing for military drones. The award, part of the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment Program, aims to establish domestic, NDAA-compliant battery production for Groups 1–3 unmanned aerial systems.
