BHP to test dynamic charging for electric haul trucks in Pilbara, adds battery locomotives
BHP will trial Caterpillar's Dynamic Energy Transfer technology for its electric haul trucks at Jimblebar mine and take delivery of two more battery-electric locomotives. The move comes as the miner faces criticism for slow electrification while receiving an estimated $548 million in diesel fuel tax credits.
