Tesla to Halt China Production for Nearly a Month in January 2027
Tesla reportedly plans to suspend vehicle output at its Shanghai plant from Jan. 20-31, 2027, for an extended Chinese New Year break, running a reduced schedule for only 17 days that month. The move signals expected weak EV demand in China, where Tesla sales fell 9% in H1 2026.
