CapMetro electrifies two Austin Rapid bus lines with Camber pantograph charging

CapMetro has electrified its Rapid 800 and Rapid 837 bus lines in Austin and opened two park-and-ride terminals equipped with Camber Charging overhead pantograph systems. On-route charging extends each bus's daily operating range from about 8 hours to 20-22 hours, supporting 10- to 15-minute peak service without diesel backup.
