Tesla ramps Optimus robot output to hundreds per week, but units still can't handle general tasks
Tesla has scaled Optimus production at Fremont to several hundred humanoid robots per week, roughly 10 times its Q2 rate, with an eventual target of 20,000 weekly. However, the robots remain limited to supervised, task-specific work due to reliability problems and a lack of generalized capabilities.
