Geely develops 500 Wh/kg solid-state EV battery targeting 1,000 km range

Geely says its next-generation solid-state battery reaches 500 Wh/kg, roughly double today's best lithium-ion cells, and is entering real-world validation ahead of a 2027 pilot rollout. The technology could enable over 1,000 km of range and up to 1 million km of lifespan, though mass production costs remain a challenge.
