Tesla unveils rocket-equipped Roadster prototype, targets 2028 production after years of delays
Tesla staged a live-streamed demonstration of a Roadster prototype fitted with SpaceX cold-gas thrusters, showing a remote-controlled model briefly flying over its vehicle lineup. The Rocket variant is invite-only and not road-legal, while base and Thrust versions are expected to reach customers in 2028, roughly a decade after the car was first revealed.
