R3 Lithium Starts Commercial Recycling Plant to Supply US Battery Chain with Domestic Lithium Carbonate

R3 Lithium has begun operations at its Covington, Georgia facility, producing 99% purity lithium carbonate from 100% recycled battery materials at commercial scale. Backed by $15M in Series A funding and roughly $1 billion in offtake agreements, the company aims to account for over half of US lithium carbonate production in 2027.
