Tesla Signs 1 TWh Power Deal for 450 MW Arizona Solar-Plus-Battery Project
ContourGlobal has begun construction on Project Sterling, a 450 MW solar farm with 360 MW/1.4 GWh of battery storage in Arizona, with Tesla contracted to buy roughly 1 TWh annually — about 90% of its output. The project, due online in 2028, pairs more than 760,000 solar panels with LFP battery containers and can deliver clean power for up to 16 hours a day.
