China Tops Its Full-Year 2025 Car Export Record in Just 8 Months, Led by EVs
China exported 6.2 million passenger vehicles through August, already surpassing the 6.1 million exported in all of 2025, with New Energy Vehicles making up 58.4% of August exports. The surge positions China to export more EVs than any other country exports cars in total, and to soon overtake Germany in export value.
