LKAB Deploys 130-Ton Electric Scania Haul Trucks 4,000 Feet Underground
Swedish miner LKAB has put two 130-ton electric Scania haul trucks to work in its Malmberget iron ore mine, over 4,000 feet below ground. With 624 kWh batteries and ideal cool, constant temperatures, the trucks deliver full shifts of hauling with fast 375 kW charging, supporting LKAB's fleet electrification goals.
