YASA to develop two axial flux motor designs with less or no rare earth
YASA will develop two axial flux motor designs under a UK government-funded program to reduce or eliminate rare-earth magnet content, aiming to maintain power density without increasing motor mass. The project, called Project Resilience, is part of a £4 billion UK automotive R&D initiative to secure supply chains and advance high-performance battery-electric and hybrid vehicles.
